My Why Story

I was never going to be a teacher. In fact, I was going to pursue human rights law and spend my career at the United Nations. I pursued my undergraduate degree in Justice Studies, Political Science, and International Relations. But as I delved into the world of human rights, I realized that the best way to combat human rights violations is to empower people through education. Knowledge is the best tool we have to create a better world. I’ve been in passionate pursuit of education ever since. I’ve found my passion, dedication, and determination in the classroom and I’m so grateful to have had the experiences that allowed me to realize my love of being an educator.

I taught Model United Nations during my undergraduate and after graduating, I spent a year teaching K-2 Special Education, which ignited my love for teaching those with learning disabilities and encouraged me to begin a Master’s degree program in Special Education. I’m so excited to be transitioning to San Tan Charter and look forward to being a part of such a unique learning community.
