Montessori Minutes 11/5

 In Branding

Happy Tuesday Preschool Montessori families,

Thank you for welcoming so warmly our new Montessori staff. Here are their bios so you know a little more about them.

Ms. Jennifer Niileksela, Primary assistant
Supporting Ms. Villarrubia (am) and Ms. Worthen (pm)

My name is Jennifer Niileksela and I am thrilled to be a part of the San Tan family. I am passionate about education and the Montessori philosophy. This will be my second year returning to the Montessori school. I also subbed one year in the Charter from K-12. I love working with the kids and getting to watch them learn and grow throughout the year.  I am a student studying education and administration and will be transferring to ASU to further my studies and finally achieve my degree. I have a wonderful, supportive husband of 19 years and together we have four amazing children of whom two also attend San Tan. When I am not working or studying I enjoy hiking and running. I love to read, bake and craft, but my greatest joy is the time that I get to be with my family.

Ms. Diana Smith, Toddler assistant/Preschool Morning Care

Diana Smith joins our team previously coming from the service industry where she worked at Westrock hospitality group. She held multiple positions at Westrock throughout her nearly 10 years with the resort and concluded as a manager within the in-room dining team. During this time she also worked for Angels Wings helping children with disabilities at home or school. Originally from Mexico, Diana grew up in Phoenix. She was recently married in April 2019 and moved to Gilbert with her husband. Diana enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Recker Multicultural Fair – Friday, November 8th

This Friday November 8th

8:30-11:30 and 2:30-4:30 is our annual Recker multicultural fair

11:30-12:30 and 2:30-3:30 is K-8 classroom learning celebrations

Please be aware and plan accordingly for more cars in the parking lot, traffic around the school and more children/families walking around. Please plan for more time when dropping off and picking up your preschool student as there is no afternoon drive lane at 12 or 3 and all 700+ Recker families will be parking and picking up their children from their classrooms. We anticipate that the parking lot will be full all day and depending on when you pick up and drop off you may need to park across the street or in the neighborhood and walk. I recommend picking your child up early before 11:00 am or 2:00pm to avoid this excitement if you can.
