My Bio

Hey there! My name is Shelbie Dodd. I am so excited to be serving all the families and staff at San Tan! I am an Arizona native who absolutely LOVES the desert. I have been living in Apache Junction for the last 5 years and there is something about seeing the superstition mountains in my backyard every day that brings joy to my life! Other than my desert, I have two beautiful wild children! Aubrie is 7 and Ronin is 2. We enjoy going camping, spending time with family is Prescott or Flagstaff, being at the zoo, or just sharing laughs in out backyard!

 

I went to St. Martins University in Washington State where I got my Bachelor's degree in Religious Studies. My focus was on youth ministry and most my extra time in college was spent volunteering at the local church. While my career took me into the retail management setting, I still spent and continues to spend much of my time with children in varying capacities. I have volunteered with the church middle and high school youth groups for almost 10 years. In the last year, my passion for helping children has taken me into serving a non-profit children's home as well as taking a part-time position being an in home care provider for children with disabilities. This is where I know that I needed to be in a field that had me focused on kiddos but also allowed me to be near my own kiddos. I came upon San Tan and am SO excited to start our journey here.
